Injustice of the high card!!!!!

Ok so I am a strong believer in not letting the blinds get the better of you. And in this scenario I always feel it is better to go out in a blaze of glory rather than watching you wilt away like an old flower.

But with that comes the bad feelings of being knocked out in 3rd position of a 65 man £10.00 re buy, with a high card....................

All that work, almost 6 hours of intense poker play do be undone by an ace??? This begs the question. Is there a poker god??? Now some will argue that yes I was on the short stack and had to make a move so just before my big blind I received K Qdiamond. With about 10K in chips I decided this was the hand, the hand to make me or break me and out went the push. The big blind called the extra 8,500 and over they turn to reveal him with A 6 off suit.............................................. What was he thinking??? I read an article that said almost all new young poker players will push with just an ace where as the older push with the Ace Paint but A 6??? what a horrible call. So on the turn out pops the ace and off I walk with a lovely wad of cash.

So I cant complain to much but it it leaves me asking you guys. How often do you get beat by the high card??? To many times I reckon. Its like losing a golf tournament becuase you turned up with no clubs. Or losing a pool match becuase your old cue broke. Its a shame but heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

£30.00 Freeze Out

Hey Guys and Girls, How we all doin??

Tonight ive just got back from a £30.00 freezeout tournament. And to be honest I actually played really well. But to play really well and come out 12th is that right??? I started catching some great hands and making use of the not so great. Making sizeable raises to steal blinds and bluff people off there hands. But in a day when you catch two sets of poket kings and one set of poket queens all three to be cracked by other hands.

But then after the third break it all went a bit Pete Tong, I was catching premium hands AK QK and decent poker pairs but none AND I MEAN NONE were holding up. Even the blind steals were not coming off. How is this??? So all of a sudded my stack was getting lower and lower. With the Blinds getting higher and higher again I ask How do you stop this strange rot???

I mean to bet but lose nearly every pot will eventually kill you right??? Well course am right cos its just happened.

In conclusion I am not annoyed because on another day my premium hands would have paid off and my blind steals would have taken me to the final table.

My moto is never to blind yourself out but to go out in a BLAZE OF GLORY. So when I was pretty short stacked I pushed on pocket 9's. Only to be called by poket KINGS.

Well guys I think thats life.................. and poker.
